Complex composite restoration based around the fuselage of P-40N 42-106101 (c/n 29863). Delivered to RAAF 80 Sqn as A29-556. Damaged beyond repair in a ground collision May 14th 1944. Along with parts from other P-40's a composite airframe was completed in the USA in 1992. On transfer to the RAF Museum it was allocated maintenance serial 9150M.

Photo taken by my dad Algy Spurr. It is a Curtiss H81A-3 Tomahawk Mk.IIB, equivalent to the P-40C. It has a GA- code which is the code for 112 Squadron RAF. Original caption said Kittyhawk but Kittyhawk is the RAF name for P-40D and beyond.
