With No. 1 SoTT as an instructional airframe, officially 7770M for this purpose. While it wears the markings of No. 71 Squadron, it appears that WT746 never served with this unit, flying instead with the Air Fighting Development Squadron at RAF West Raynham. In any case, its flying career was very short and it was placed in storage for some time before being used as an instructional airframe from 1962. WT746 is now on display at the Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum.

Inside one of the workshops at the now-closed No.1 School of Technical Training, RAF Halton. This Hunter has the white/yellow/black markings of its final active service unit, 71 squadron, which retired its Hunters many years before, in 1957, and which has never been reformed. WT746 was first used for ground instruction at St.Athan in 1962, and was transferred to Halton in 1977. It still exists in 2020, preserved at Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum, Scotland.
