The austrian "Bundesheer" based a S-70 Blackhawk and this AB-212 at Hohenems during the World Economic Form 2022, taking place in Davos, Switzerland, just accross the border. In 1980, the Bundesheer started to introduce this rugged helicopter and over the years took charge of 26 units. 24 of them were new built Agusta-Bell's (serialled 5D-HA through 5D-HX), while a 25th airframe was a Bell 212 bought 2nd hand in Norway (c/n 32126, ex LN-OLL, becoming 5D-HY). Finally, the 26th heli - 5D-HZ - was rebuilt from the remains of 5D-HE and another aircraft, coming from Sudan (c/n unknown).

Parked out on the apron at this interesting and not-so-little airfield. This helicopter was previously '8629' of the German Army and, apparently, the private owners liked the scheme so much that they kept it.
