Delivered to Aeroflot as CCCP-46346 in 1969. To Riga Technical School as a ground trainer in 1983. Scrapped in 1997. Cockpit preserved at Latvijas Aviacijas Tehnikas Muzejs at Riga.

While the FK.31's service career in Finland was undistinguished, this machine made it to Latvia and Poland on an official visit by air force commander Väinö Vuori, the short man in flying garb. 3H-33, later KO-33, has a machine gun mounting in the rear cockpit here even though the Finns really only used the FK.31 as a trainer. NVI c/n 214 is painted on the nose and tail.

After a long and extensive search, this aircraft is believed to be c/n 1G96-22, ex CCCP-32260 and YL-LEA. It was deregistered from the Latvian civil register on the same day as at least 8 other Border Guard An-2s. Other An-2s in Aeroflot colour remained in these colours at Spilve, whilst the remainder showed up in the UK. 1G96-22 seems to have been 'missing' for a number of years. Further more, it has the same dent on the fuselage as CCCP-32260 which makes it quite sure this is the correct tie-up. It was later again on the civil register as YL-CCF and it still has the same dent on the fuselage! This was discussed with the Guus Ottenhof and he seems to agree after viewing the evidence.

This was the first (and possibly only) homebuilt version about the time of Latvian independence from the Soviet Union. The owner (and designer) wanted to take me for a flight, but unfortunately no fuel was available.

YL-CCN cn 1G197-45 in Green and YL-CCF cn 1G96-22 in Yellow both registered to Rigas ESVK Parked side by side at the old Splive airfield, about half an hours walk from the old town.
