Allocated serial 66-8381, N901NA was delivered directly to NASA. It replaced an earlier NASA T-38 (63-8181 cn N5528) with registration N901NA that crashed February 28, 1966. Records show that all prime crew astronauts from the early space programs (Mercury, Gemini and Apollo) flew this aircraft. Retired to AMARC in November 2011, it was moved to Bowling Green in February 2014.
