The aluminium dinghy in the foreground carries the famous name de Havilland and yes, it is THE de Havilland. The company's Australian arm started making boats in 1959 to put its aluminium fabrication skills to use after Vampire production ended. Over the next 20 years 55,000 boats were produced, from small dinghies to 27-ton patrol boats
