Schwedish AF F5-296 from 27.11.1956 to 21.10.1954. Sold to Germany and reserved in the German Register on 17.10.1955 for Deutschen Aero Express, Hamburg. Finaly registered on 07.05.1956 for Aero Club Heidelberg. On 03.1961 to Horst Mendlewitsch, Düsseldorf. Between 1962 and 1963 to Klaus Steeb, Düsseldorf. On 08.11.1973 to Wolfgang Reer, 4005 Meerbusch. wfu 13.03.1975, cx 18.03.1975, sold to a privat Museum in Froschhausen, moved to Seligenstadt in 2005 and further sold to Technikmuseum Berlin, stored and awaiting restauration Picture via G. Sweden bought one Bestmann from Germany 1942 and, following successful testing, licence rights for 120 airframes built by Hägglund & Söner in Örnsköldsvik. This one was manufactured in 1945. To D-ELAM in 1954. Registered SE-BMN in 2010 following restoration. The type was designed by Bücker's Swedish chief engineer, Anders Andersson, who later created the Saab Safir too.

The Bestmann was not a regular in the Swiss air force, but no less than six Luftwaffe aircraft were interned and one Swiss-owned machine requisitioned during the war. The original A-251 was German factory call sign SJ-SS. This preserved aircraft is really a licence-built Swedish Bestmann.
