About to land after dropping the Red Berets parachute team at the Wings Over the Illawarra airshow. This Iroquois was delivered to the RAN in 1965 and served with 723 Squadron. It crashed at HMAS Albatross/Nowra and was burned out on 29 March 1971, but was subsequently re-built. It was withdrawn from service use on 31 May 1989 and allocated to the RAN Fleet Air Arm Historic Flight and civil-registered as VH-NVV on 8 October 1991, still based at Nowra.

This Twin Pin was delivered new to the Royal Malaysian Air Force on 28 May 1962 as FM1066. It was later given the Malaysian civil registration 9M-ART before coming to Australia, where it was re-registered VH-EVB on 7 January 1982. It's recently undergone an extensive restoration. A blast from the past! This aircraft was originally registered OK-OHC but came to Australia in 1962, the only one of its type ever to do so. After a spell on charter operations, it was acquired by Ansett-ANA. It spent 1966 in New Guinea operating with Ansett-MAL. Withdrawn in 1967, it passed through a succession of private hands until ending up at HARS for restoration and re-painting in this attractive original scheme. This 1954 Beaver was for many years registered in Canada as C-FHXX, latterly to Air Nootka. Its Canadian registration was cancelled in 1988 and it came to Australia, being registered VH-SYS on 8 March 1994. Seen here at Wings Over the Illawarra 2011.
