This UH-1H Huey with serial 70-15747 is a recent addition to this excellent museum in Vientiane, Laos. The aircraft was delivered to South Vietnam and is seen here in fake US Air Force colours. The sign reads: "It was manufactured by Bell Company (USA) in 1970. This type of aircraft was used by the US and Lao puppet armies in many major campaigns such as Road 9 - Southern Laos Campaign, 1971; Muong Sui - Plain of Jars Campaign, 1971-1972; Xieng Khuang - Plain of Jars Campaign, 1972. "

This AD-5 (A-1E) Skyraider with serial 132428 in fake US Air Force colours is a recent addition to this excellent museum in Vientiane, Laos. The aircraft was delivered to South Vietnam. The sign reads: "A two-seat attack bomber manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company (USA) by the U.S. Naval Aviation and the Air Force of the Saigon puppet military to bomb the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos from 1965 to 1968."

US Army UH-1C Huey 66-15094 is seen here with the Lao People's Army Historical Museum in Vientiane. It is one of a few US wrecks and parts of wrecks that can be found with this excellent museum.

This AD-6 (A-1H) Skyraider with serial 139674 is a recent addition to this excellent museum in Vientiane, Laos. The aircraft was delivered to South Vietnam and could be found on display with the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam since at least 1997. The sign reads: "AD-6 is a single seat attack aircraft produced by the Douglas Aircraft Company (USA). In 1966, the US imperialists aided the puppet Lao military with this type of aircraft for bombing provinces of Upper Laos, particularly during the Plain of Jars Operation in Xieng Khouang province from 1971 to 1972".

A former Royal Lao Air Force (RLAF) T-41B can be found with the Lao People's Army Historical Museum as part of its war collection. The sign reads: "This L20 aircraft was used by Vientiane puppet soldiers in the ruling age of "Royaume de Laos" in 1959. They then were ordered to used the aircraft to throw leaflets and propagate the 2 Battalion of Pathet Lao troops, that escaped from the Plain of Jars in 1959, to return to surrender them, but failed to succeed." Note the fiscal year of this T-41B is 1967, it was delivered to the RLAF in 1972.

Preserved with the Lao People's Army Historical Museum in Vientiane is MiG-21bis (75A) 725. It was delivered to the Lao People's Army Air Force in 1977. In 1984, it was used by 702 brigade to patrol the border area in the Paklay district, where a conflict broke out with Thailand. In 1985, the aircraft participated in the 10th anniversary parade of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In 1987, it was used to patrol the Botene district to patrol the area of Nabonoi. The type was retired from Lao service around 2000.

Preserved with the Lao People's Army Historical Museum in Vientiane is Mi-8T RDPL-34043. It was used at Viengxay district during the civil war (1959-1975) to bring cadres and combattants to Vietnam for training. After the war, it was used to support operations Three Villages in the Paklay district in 1984 and in 1987-1988 to support operations in Botene district. The museum has many interesting artefacts on display.

Preserved under a shed in the Lao People's Army Historical Museum in Vientiane is an An-2 marked 074. At one time it was RDPL-34124 but in camouflage colours, so apparently operated by the military. This An-2 was used by the Aviation Division of the Lao Patriotic Front to deliver food, stuff and military equipment from Viengxay to Hanoi (Vietnam) and Vientiane and other provinces in 1973. The museum has many interesting artefacts on display of the Laotian Civil War (1959-1975).
