Returned by Sabena immediately after Expo 58 in Brussels, N74058, still wearing the Expo logo, was used for trial flights between Schiphol and Rotterdam - Zestienhoven by Bob Schreiner's Aero Contractors. In 1959 during a visit to the USA, Soviet leader Khrushchev enjoyed his ride in an S-58 helicopter. When President Eisenhower challenged him to order some, Khrushchev said yes and two HUS-1Zs as well as two V-44s were actually sold and shipped to the USSR. This Flying Banana is still in Vertol company livery.

This is one of two V-44s delivered to the Soviet Union as a result of Eisenhower's visit in 1959. This interesting piece of Cold War history is on display at the Central Museum of the Air Forces at Monino.
