Associated Mission Aviation (AMA) was founded in 1959 to support the humanitarian work of the Catholic Church in Papua. AMA serves some 400 remote airstrips using PC-6's, Cessna 208 Caravan's and at least one PAC 750. PK-RCZ pictured here at its homebase in Sentani-Jayapura is the 3rd of a total of seven Pilatus Porters AMA operated since April 1998. Unfortunately, two were lost in accidents, among them PK-RCZ on August 9, 2008, some 10 days after this pictures was taken. This 1994 built airframe first flew with the Ecuadorian Army as E-195 (till 1996).

Besides the Cessna 208 Caravan, AMA also possess several unit of Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter. This handy machine is used a lot to fly to remote airstrips within the interior of Papua, especially the ones that are not able to be served by bigger airplanes such as the Caravan.

Besides the Cessna Caravan and Pilatus Porter, AMA ever operated two units of these New Zealand-built STOL airliner. This one served with AMA from 2011 until 2022 when it was transferred to Tariku Aviation as PK-TET.
