Ex N10AS. Originally c/n 3596 and reportedly received conversion number N-467 when reworked by Beech in 1950. The registration HK-1111 was not taken up and the aircraft lingered at Tucson. Became N10AS again in 1982. Following a forced landing in November 1987, it was stored at Detroit-Willow Run and used for spares. Struck off the register in 1996. Registration HK-1111 was also used on two other Beech 18s: c/n BA-77 (1955-1974) and c/n BA-157 (1976-1978), the latter also for Aerolíneas Especiales de Colombia.

History going back to WWII with the US Navy as SNB-1 with Bu39904 c/n 3596. Re-manufactured as a SNB-5 in 1950 (reportedly with conversion number N-467), the aircraft went to Hamilton Aircraft in 1968 to become the first trigear Hamilton Turboliner. It was delivered to Ortner Air Service as N10AS, but retired in 1979 after flying with a couple of other airlines. Pictured here after a sale to Aerolíneas Especiales de Colombia to become HK-1111 fell through. The classic Beech went to Connie Kalitta Services as N10AS in 1983, but crashed November 19, 1987 after running out of fuel.
