Turbo-Union's G-AXLX made its first flight on 21/AUG/69 and was a frequent visitor to Munich-Riem; shown here in its later colours. Sold a few months after this photo was taken, it flew as HB-VBW for two years and then as N3118M until ca 1989. The airframe was parted out by Dodson Aircraft Parts at Rantoul KS, the fuselage was last noted there in 2013.

First flight for this BAC 111 was March 6, 1967 with delivery to LACSA Costa Rica as TI-1056C the following month. Sold to TACA International as YS-01C on April 11, 1973. It was bought by Turbo Union February 16, 1979 and a large forward cargo door was added. Operated by the Rolls-Royce Flying Unit on behalf of Turbo-Union, transporting engines and personnel (in the 39 seat aft cabin) for the Panavia Tornado program. Bought by Nationwide Air Charter and registered ZS-NNM by April 5 1994, the aircraft was stored at Lanseria, South Africa and broken up in 2005.
