Actually WJ877, painted as the Canberra prototype

231 Operational Conversion Unit - Crashed when control lost during simulated engine failure on take-off from Wyton on 18 March 1991.

Two aircraft, WT478 and WJ877 (seen here), were painted in the colours and markings of the Canberra prototype VN799, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the type's first flight on 13 May 1949. The flying aircraft was WT478, but the Canberra in this photo is the spare aircraft, WJ877 from 231 OCU RAF Wyton, which was part of the show's static display. Some sources incorrectly quote this as c/n 71355.
