On 23 September 2002, the excellent museum at Hermeskeil received this former Royal Navy Sea Hawk XE327. It was originally delivered to the Royal Navy on 3 March 1955. After its service life, it became a gate guard at the now closed Royal Naval Stores Depot Llangennech, hence the LH tail code.

I don't take shots of planes preserved indoors (although I do admit that often it is very neccessary) so to have so many interesting subjects outside made for a memorable visit. Hermeskeil is a fabulous museum and well worth a visit for any aviation fan.
