By the late 1960s Hawker Siddeley was heavily involved in a Hawker Hunter refurbishment programme, basically taking redundant UK examples and selling them on to foreign air forces. The work initially started at their Dunsfold plant with later involvement from their Bitteswell factory in Leicestershire. HSA used a hangar at Baginton for overflow storage and if you were lucky you got to see one of the Hunters being moved between factories. This example was eventually converted to F.58A standard for the Swiss Air Force (J-4118). Credit: Tony Lloyd collection
