Another non-Navy machine now in the FAA Museum is this Winjeel, first delivered in 1957 and until fairly recently airworthy as VH-NWI with the RAAF Historic Flight.

This Winjeel was delivered to the RAAF in November 1957. Retired from military service, it was registered as VH-HWI(1) on 14 March 1989 and operated as a warbird. In April 2006 ownership transferred to the RAAF Museum but the aircraft was withdrawn from operational use on 9 July 2020. It seems to have been swapped with the FAA Museum for the prototype Winjeel, A85-364, which was formerly on display but has since been transferred to the RAAF Base Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre.

Built in Australia 1957. Civil registered on the 14th. March 1989 as VH-HWI. This photograph was taken at the 1989 Mangalore Air Show. Part of the RAAF Historic Flight and displayed at the RAAF Museum at Point Cook.
