Registered as JA8751 before delivery to Piedmont Airlines as N269P in 1969. To Provincetown-Boston Airline in 1982 then to Simmons Airlines in 1985 and operated for American Eagle. Traded into Shorts in 1986 then sold in 1987 and stored at Tucson. To Servicios Aereos Litoral as XA-ROL in 1989. Repossessed and withdrawn from use at Greenwood, MS in 1991. Reregistered as N4246K but not applied. Still there in 1993. Scrapped.

I wasn't aware at the time I photographed it that it was an old friend. Back in 1982 I had flown two sectors on it when it was operating as N269P with Provincetown-Boston Airlines in Florida.

Ex Simmons Airlines with whom it operated as American Eagle. After about 30 months of storage in TUS it went to Servicios Aereos Litoral Jul 89 as XA-ROL. On a personal note this aircraft was my one and only YS-11 ride in Dec 82, with PBA - Provincetown-Boston Airline. We met again at Marana AZ in 1990 when it was stored there as XA-ROL.

Sold in the US in 1991. Became N4246K.

My reason for a day trip from Miami to Naples (which started with a flight on DC-3 N137PB) was to obtain my passenger rating on the NAMC YS-11. This was the aircraft I was to fly Naples-Tampa-Naples on. The return to Miami was on a Cessna 402 N36911. A nice day out.

Delivered as "Ohio Valley Pacemaker to Piedmont in 12.69, sold to PBA 6.82 and then to Simmons 7.85. Became XA-ROL in 8.89, wfu as N4246K at Greenwood, MS 4.91 and later scrapped
