A genuine former German Fieseler Fi-156 Storch of WW II fame, can be found with the excellent flying collection at Heringsdorf. It is shown in its ambulance configuation. The aircraft was built in 1944 and arrived here with the collection on 22 June 2017.

This is an original Storch built in Kassel in 1944. Version D-2 was an air ambulance aircraft for the transportation of two stretchers and a seat for the paramedic behind the pilot. After the war the plane was acquired by the Air Fighter Academy and fully restored in 2017. It is now part of this collection of airworthy warbirds at EDAH.
