BEA Helicopters operated their two S-61Ns G-ATBJ and G-ATFM from a playing field on the industrial estate north of Basildon on 21st May 1973. I cannot remember precisely where but I think it was off Luckyns Lane by the Yardley factory (chimneys in the background, since demolished) and may have been in connection with that company. G-ATBJ was exported to Canada and de-registered in May 2020. G-ATFM is current in 2022.

Delivered to BEA Helicopters in March 1965 remaining with the airline through name change to British Airways Helicopters in 1974 and sale to Robert Maxwell's Maxwell Aviation becoming British International Helicopters. It was written off 1 February 2018 at Marchwood Sea Mounting Centre, Hampshire due to a technical failure. It spent most of its time flying between Penzance and the Scilly Isles and is seen here arriving from Tresco.
