BEA Helicopters operated their two S-61Ns G-ATBJ and G-ATFM from a playing field on the industrial estate north of Basildon on 21st May 1973. I cannot remember precisely where but I think it was off Luckyns Lane by the Yardley factory (since demolished) and may have been in connection with that company. G-ATBJ was exported to Canada and de-registered in May 2020. G-ATFM is current in 2022. This photo is copyright © Terry Dann, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
