This is, or rather was, an old airframe. The legacy 707 was converted to an electronic countermeasures aircraft and is seen here sitting on the firedump at Ben Gurion were it lingered some years before being scrapped in/around 2000.

Line number 800 made its first flight on 2 april 1969. It was delivered as ZS-SAG to South African Airways on 17 April 1969 and sold as VP-WGA to Air Zimbabwe in March 1980. Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) took over the seven-oh-seven on 15 October 1982 and it became registration 4X-BYQ. In February 1983, it was redesignated EC707 Re'em and was reregistered to 4X-JYQ with the Israeli Defence Force/Air Force, in September 1986, it became 4X-BYQ with the and became again 4X-JYQ (with IDF/AF serial 242) in March 1991. The aircraft was assigned to 120 Sqd.
