Built in 1943 for the RCAF, serial 9814. Served at Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Torbay, Newfoundland. Stored in June 1945. Sold through Charles H Babb Co to Shell subsidiary Nederlandsch Nieuw-Guinea Petroleum Maatschappij (NNGPM). Delivered via Oakland in December 1946. The Canso was registered until August 1949. Operated by a joint venture of Australia's Adastra Aerial Surveys and the UK's Hunting Aero Surveys. Registered VH-AGB in November 1956. Sold to TAA in 1962 as a spares source for its Catalina operations in Papua New Guinea. Scrapped in 1967.
