A rare shot of an Italian F-86E. This Canadian-built, but American-funded aircraft was delivered to the Royal Air Force as XB961. It was passed on to Italy (and not to Yugoslavia) in February 1957. RCAF administrative serial 19848 was adopted; no MM serial. 2º Aerobrigata operated the Sabre from 1956 until it was disbanded in 1962. The white nose is the marking of the 14 Gruppo. F-86E(M) was the designation given to ex RAF Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk.4s supplied to other NATO nations. This example, one of 179, was originally XB915 delivered to Italy in June 1956.

This CL-13 Sabre Mk.4 was supplied to the Royal Air Force as XB631 under MDAP. In 1956 it was passed on to Italy as an F-86E(M).

Impressive engine but I wish they had put it somewhere else. This aircraft was built as a CL-13 Sabre Mk.4 and served in the RAF, first as XB904, later as XB915. It was transferred to the USAF in Oct 1956 and redesignated to F-86E(M) before being shipped to Italy under MDAP. Flew coded as displayed with the 2°Stormo, 13°Gruppo Autonomo. The Stormo badge is on the tail.
