The first of three prototype YA-7Ds for the USAF version of the Corsair II. It's pictured based at Edwards where it did development flying and training with the USAF Test Pilot School. The aircraft was retired to AM ARC in 1992 and later scrapped.

The first Allison TF-41(License Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan) powered A-7D, 67-14584 was assigned to Edwards with other prototype Corsair IIs . It was retired to AMARC in 1992.

This is the second A-7 prototype built. It now rests at the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards AFB in California. It carries the 6512 TS code ED, the Air Force Flight Test Centre badge on the nose, and the Air Force Systems Command badge on the fin.

This is the second of three prototype YA-7D Corsair IIs delivered to the USAF in 1968. It was also the last to use the P&W TF-30 engine of the Navy's A-7As; the Air Force opting for a more powerful licensed built Rolls Royce Spey. Used for type testing and on-going development flying at Edwards, it was retired in 1998. The DIGITAC (digital tac­tical aircraft control) titles were applied for the first totally fiber optic-controlled flight using a single-fiber flight-con­trol system on March 24, 1982.
