Built as a Beech D18S and registered NC44650 in 1946. Converted by Capitol Aviation in 1961 to Conrad 9800D with Volpar trigear and other Capair modifications, then further mods in 1963 to Conrad 10200 and registered N935TX. With Lani Bird from 1979 to 1991 then scrapped due to corrosion in wingspar. Noted as a stripped fuselage at Dillingham, HI 2002-2009

Painted yellow and red with a Hawaiian garland, Aloha was the second and last finisher in the Dole Air Race. Navigator Paul Schluter, a seaman, did a great dead-reckoning job but only got $25 of the $10,000 second prize. Pilot Martin Jensen had hired him through a classified newspaper ad and did warn Schluter that he needed any prize money to pay his debts.
