This Colt was originally delivered to the East German military organization GST - Gesellschaft für Sport und Technik (Sport and Technology Association) in March 1969 as DM-WJD (then as DDR-WJD from March 1982). It was beased at Halle-Oppin and Dessau for a large part of its operating life and so, after being declared damaged beyond repair after a storm, was delivered to the Hugo Junkers Museum in Dessau for storage. In time, the museum intends to restore the plane to static display condition and join its collection of outdoor aircraft.

The colours of the Anhalt region on this An-2 probably date back from the period following the collapse of the GDR. She is seen at the rustic airfield of Schwandorf in Bavaria.
