Ex N73129, registered to ERA as N568JA 11th Sep 1981 and sold to Kelowna as C-FKFB 6th June 2003

This aircraft was converted to Air Tanker and is part of Conair's fleet as C-FKFB

Era Helicopters bought Convair 580s in 1980 for oil support work in Akaska. This aircraft came in 1981 and it operated as Jet Alaska in conjunction with Alaska Airlines. It was sold to Kelowna Flightcraft in 2003 (C-FKFB) and on to Conair in 2004 for air tanker conversion.

Built as a CV340 in 1953 for United Airlines and here at the end of its time with Era Aviation and about to become C-FKFB with Kelowna Flightcraft. In 2004 it was modified for fire fighting with Conair and in 2021 sold to Air Spray at Red Deer/AB for its engines and propellers.
