Originally delivered to Pan American in October 1959 as N719PA "Clipper Windward", it was sold to British Midland Airways in March 1970 as G-AYBJ, but was mostly leased out by them to a whole host of mainly Asian and African carriers until withdrawn from use at East Midlands in December 1977. It was bought by Jet Power/MCA Leasing as N431MA and flown to Miami in the Spring of 1978, and again was leased out to a number of small airlines until it was withdraw from use at Sharjah, where it is believed to have been broken up in the 1990s.
