This registration was cancelled on 26th August 2002 when the aircraft was sold to Air Spray in Canada as C-GZVM and converted as a fire bomber.

Leased from JBQ Aviation and delivered to Indian Ocean Airlines as N3209A, arriving at Perth 14 Aug 1992. Was intended to be used on flights to Cocos Island and Christmas Island. Registered to Indian Ocean Airlines as VH-IOB on 9 Sep 1992, but airline encountered certification problems and never started services. This Electra was eventually cancelled from the register on 14 Dec 1992, becoming N351Q. Departed Perth the next day and is seen here being ferried back to the US.

From what I have read, Indian Ocean Airlines was a short-lived Australian carrier. This Electra had been leased from JBQ Aviation and arrived in Perth on 14 August 1992. It was entered into the Australian register 9 September 1992 as VH-IOB. The airline intended to fly a Perth-Cocos Island-Christmas Island route with the aircraft, but it never entered service. It was registered N351Q again on 14 December 1992 and departed Perth back to the USA on 15 December 1992.
