Delivered to the US Army with serial 79-23246 this Cobra was eventualy transferred to the USDA Forest Service in July 2003. At the time of uploading this picture its wherabouts are unknown because in March 2011 UH-1H (c/n 12318) was noted wearing the same registration for the same departement.

Originally 70-15708 with the US Army, this Iroquois was added to the US Forest Service in 2011. It has been made available to the Washington Department of Natural Resources under the Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) program. This allows states to supplement their basic fire fighting inventories at minimal cost with Federal equipment (usually former military).
