Taken when the airport was Berlin-Schönefeld in East Germany. Delivered to Interflug as DDR-SET in 1981. Reregistered as D-AOAK in 1990. To Aeroflot as CCCP-86576 in 1991 then to Uzbekistan Airways as 86576 then UK-86576 in 1993. Sold to Russia as RA-86576 and converted to an Il-62MGr freighter by 2007. To Rada Airlines as EW-450TR by 2015. Still operational in 2025.

This was a momentous event in German civil aviation - the first flight of the first scheduled IF service between East and West Germany. The route was via Czech airspace (to avoid flying over the recently defunct Wall) from/to Leipzig. Although I left home in plenty of time everything conspired against me and by the time I arrived on the terrace she had already taxied - still irks me to this day!
