These Australian Air Force Mirages were Sold to the Pakistan Air Force and were waiting for transportation at the Whyalla Docks in South Australia. The article I read stated that they were transporting from Woomera in Nov. but these slides were all processed by Kodak in October. Delivered 08/10/65. Finished RAAF Service with 4011 hours on airframe. Storage 27/11/87 at Woomera, Sold to Pakistan Air Force 11/90 and delivered by sea.

At the time of the photo, A3-22 was on loan to the RAAF Museum at Point Cook. It was owned by the Moorabbin Air Museum (now Australian National Aviation Museum) and in 2018 still is. A3-22 is under restoration for static display at Moorabbin airport. Prior to the museum acquiring it, it had been VH-ALV until damaged in a take-off accident at Braeside, near Melbourne on August 26, 1968. Photographer not known. Scanned from the original colour transparency.

A3-22 undergoing restoration in 1988 in the RAAF Museum at RAAF Point Cook near Melbourne. It had been sold post-war in February 1946 for civil operation as VH-ALV, hence its survival.
