By 1960: Open storage in Mexico City. 1978-1988: Derelict, at a farm. 1990: Returned to USA. 1991-1993: Restored to static condition for USAF Museum using components from YC-125A 48-634 (N3756Q). 1994: United States Air Force Museum, 1995: Restoration completed at the museum. Marked as 48-622, which was stationed at Wright-Patterson for cold weather testing. 2022: NMUSAF solicited for buyers. 2025: Engines removed.

On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Ten of the Arctic rescue variants were ordered by the USAF and delivery started in 1950. The Arctic version could be equipped with RATO, a ski undercarriage and carry twenty stretchers. The STOL aircraft were found to be underpowered and retired by 1955. Most were sold to operators in Latin America.
