Retired to Duxford on 26th October 1974. Registered G-BEDV just before this appearance, on 26th July 1976, operated privately from Duxford, the Duxford Aviation Society being part-owners between February 1983 and August 1987. Registration cancelled in June 1989. Dismantled 2012 and moved to the Classic Air Force, Newquay and later the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre. Subsequently to SWAM, St. Athan in early 2024 on closure of CAHC.

Delivered to the RAF as WJ945 in 1953. Sold as G-BEDV in 1976 and maintained in airworthy condition. CofA expired in 1987 and preserved at Duxford. Cancelled from the register in 1989. Moved to the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Cenre at Newquay in 2011. Its future is uncertain following the forced closure by Cornwall council.

Wearing its original military colours and just a very small civil registration under the tailplane, this Varsity gets ready to taxi for take-off. G-BEDV is often incorrectly said to be c/n 619, but that is WJ895. The c/n for WJ945 is unknown.
