This Bumble Bee was first registered in November 1972 and last flew in June 1996. It is now part pf this super private collection.

The sixth prototype of the Z-37 and was delivered in July, 1965 ( to what?) later being registered OK-UJE with flight testing carried out in the USSR. In August 1967 it was transferred to the Aviation Research Institute (VZLÚ) in Prague but sometime in 1968 was damaged by a hurricane but rebuilt using parts (wings, center plane, engine) from Z-37 cn 007, OK-UJC. It made its last flight in June, 1974, completing just over 477 hours and 2514 take-offs. It was transferred to VHÚ (Kbely museum parent organisation) in January 1975 and has been on loan to this fire-fighting museum since April 2011.

Ex DM-SVQ and DDR-SVQ. To Flugservice Berlin between 1990-1992 as D-ESVQ. To PS Aero in 2018 and moved to this location in June 2019.

This aircraft was used between 1984 and 1985 to test the suitability of the Z-37T for military work. The aircraft was demilitarized and placed on the Czechoslovak civil register as OK-PJD in March of 1986. It was struck from the Czechoslovak register in 2005 and sold to a Hungarian owner. It sat derelict in outdoor storage in Hungary from 2005 to 2016. I took this picture of the aircraft about a month after a crew from Letecké Muzeum Kunovice brought it back from Hungary to restore it.

Preserved on the roof of the local aquapark centre.

This Z-37 was previously D-ESUH with Agrarflug, the agricultural division of Interflug. At some point the plane suffered substantial damage to the rear fuselage and the repair effected for display is visible.

This Z-37 was built in Kunovice and first flew in September, 1968, after which it was handed over to Agrarflug, the agricultural division of Interflug. It later received the newer DDR-SNK registration and was withdrawn from service in 1984 with an extended lifetime of 7,280 hours. The aircraft was flown to the museum in April 1984 and placed on display. Due to its poor condition, it was withdrawn in 2011 and earmarked for restration. From 2021-2022, this aircraft was completely refurbished and in July 2022 rejoined the display, looking resplendent in its 1968 scheme.

This Z-37 is on display amongst this superb collection of (mostly) Soviet-block aircraft.
