Simplon Air was founded in 2007 by italian helicopter pioneer Gian Paolo Giana. As early as 1972, at the age of 25, Giana started to operate helicopters in the mountains around the Ossola valley and named the emerging company "Giana Helicopter". Having swiss roots and being an admirer of swiss rescue pioneer Hermann Geiger, Giana seems to feel more swiss than italian, as the family owned company operates it's helicopters under the swiss register. The flagship of the fleet is this 1995 built MD900 which was previously operated by Breitling and joined Simplon Air in June of 2018.

Delivered to Trans States Airlines in July 1990, operating for Trans World Express. Withdrawn from use in August 1997. To Italair in December 1998, withdrawn from use in September 2000. To Aer Arann in January 2001, operating for Aer Lingus Regional. To Stobart Air in June 2014, also operating for Aer Lingus. Withdrawn from use in February 2018 and stored at Maastricht a month later. Broken up there in November 2018. The fuselage and wings were moved to this location in October 2020.

Delivered to SAS Commuter in August 2000 as LN-RDF. Withdrawn from use and stored at Copenhagen between October 2007 - April 2008. To Flybe in August 2008 as G-ECOW. Withdrawn from use and stored at Exeter between July 2010 - January 2014. To Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique in August 2011 as C9-AUY. Stored at Maastricht in October 2017. Listed as 2-CAUY in November 2017, but I think this is a paper registration. C9-AUY still shows on the aft fuselage and in the cockpit. Broken up at Maastricht in April 2019, with the fuselage being transported to PS Aero for final disassembly. To this location in 2021.

Built in 1976 and to the Aviation Department of the NAtional Security corps of Czechoslovakia as B-2542. To Slov Air i January 1990 as OK-FIU. To Air Park Zruc in 1998 and to PS Aero in 2000. Moved to this location in 2006.

Ex OK-AZA and OK-AKG. Permanently withdrawn from use in 2002 and moved to PS Aero by September 2011. To Camping Land uit Zee in Wieringerwerf (The Netherlands) in 2015. To this location in 2019.

Constructed as a Jaguar GR.1 and first flew in June 1976. To the RAF in July 1976 as XZ357. Converted to a GR.1A in May 1989 and to a GR.3A by 2002. Withdrawn from use in October 2004 and used for spares. Later sold to a private company. Looks like it was sold to PS Aero in 2008, who exported it to their home base in Baarlo, The Netherlands. The aircraft was then mounted on a pole for display purposes. The aircraft was put up for sale in 2019 and in late 2021 it was moved to the current location, a luxury and classic car dealership at Uden.

Delivered in September 1981 and remainded operational until January 1996. After its active life, the aircraft became an instructional frame. Now on display at a roundabout near the air base.
