An Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 133 "Wizards" Prowler on deck of foggy NAS Alameda. It was one of four that arrived for a fuel stop at the station. Next in line is 161242/NH-604. This 161347 was stricken on 2 June 2009, current status unknown. 161242 served last VMAQ-3 and was retired to AMARG on 15 May 2018 .

Once an EKA-3B Skywarrior, developed for the electronic warfare role, but in its final years of operations converted to KA-3B aerial refueler. Tactical Aerial Refueling Squadron (VAK) 308 "Griffins" ('ND-52x') was Alameda based. The squadron was established on 2 May 1970 as a Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron VAQ-308 and equipped with EKA-3B Skywarriors. After that task was taken over by the Prowler, some Skywarriors were converted to KA-3B aerial refueler. The squadron was redesignated as VAK-308 on 1 October 1979 and was disestablished on 30 September 1988. This 147666 was retired and preserved to the Western Aerospace museum now renamed Oakland Aviation Museum, in Oakland (CA).

Once an electronic warfare aircraft, but after that task was taken over by the EA-6B Prowler, some of the Skywarriors (nicknamed Whale), where converted to KA-3B and soldiered on as an aerial refueler. Tactical Aerial Refueling Squadron (VAK) 208 "Jockeys" ('AF-52x') was part of the US Navy Carrier Air Wing Reserve (CVWR) 20. The squadron was established on 30 July 1970 as a Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron (VAQ) 208 and was redesignated to VAK-208 on 1 October 1979. It was disestablished on 30 September 1989. This 147657 was retired to AMARC with inventory code 2A0118 in September 1989.

It only made one cruise on board the USS Independence. 160126 was assigned to Sea Control Squadron (VS) 35 "Blue Wolves", a squadron that survived the cuts. It left AMARG on 11 May 2023 for HVF West, Tucson and was then scrapped.

Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 133 "Dagons" operated out of NAS Alameda (CA). This A-4F was delivered to the US Navy in 1967 and assigned to VA-93. It then served VA-23, -144, and 127 before it was transferred to VMA-214 within the USMC in 1970. It returned to the USN in 1973 and was transferred again to the USMC with VMA-133 from 1975. It remained with VMA-133 until it was retired and preserved at Arlington (VA) from 1990.

Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 133 "Dagons" operated out of NAS Alameda (CA). This Hot Rod was delivered to the US Navy in 1968 (served VA-55, -212, -127 and again -212) and was transferred to the USMC in 1975 and assigned to VMA-133. In 1989 is returned to the US Navy as an adversary aircraft with VFC-12. It was eventually stored at NAS Oceana in 1994 and reported dismatled on a lorry in late October 1994. The Skyhawk is preserved at the Empire State Aerosciences Museum, Schenectady County AP, Scotia (NY) since 1996.

A Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 62 "Nomands" C-9B visiting NAS Alameda (CA) from homebase NAS Jacksonville (FL). This BuNo 163511 was acquired by the US Navy from Italian airline company ATI - Aero Transporti Italiani in December 1985 1986 (former DC-9-32 I-ATIA). The aircraft was converted to US Navy standards and eventually retired in January 2002 to the National Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Penscola (FL). It was last seen stored outside on of the museum buildings in 2014.

Delivered to the US Navy Reserve in 1980 and assigned to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 57 "Conquistadors". The Nightingale served the reserves up to 15 May 2012. The aircraft was stored at AMARG (inventory code unknown). The C-9 left the storage depot for HVF West, Tucson on 22 September 2022 and was scrapped.

Delivered to the US Navy Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 55 "Minuteman" and served the US Navy Reserve force up to 7 July 2010 when it was retired to AMARG with inventory code AN4C0008. On 1 November 2011 the Nightingale was moved to the Pima Air and Space Museum for preservation.

Wings folded on the platform of homebase Naval Air Station Alameda on one of the shores of San Fransisco bay. Former EKA-3B, converted to KA-3B, retired to AMARC in April 1992 with inventory code 2A0099 and left the storage depot on...? Fate unknown.

The 5K tailcode is an unknown one to me. It was carried on this UC-12B which was executing a engine run during a high-speed taxi test. The aircraft was converted to TC-12B in 1997. The served a Training Wing before it was sold to Argentina as TC-119 in January 2021.

Receiving some line-maintenance, this oldy was parked in one of the hangars of homebase NAS Alameda. BuNo 147648 was delivered as an EKA-3B electronic warfare aircraft and was converted in the mid-seventies to a KA-3B aerial refueler. Following that, it was converted to an adversary aircraft and served VAQ-33. As such, the Skywarrior was seen at NAS Key West in 1994. Fate unknown.
