This rare Orion is fitted with a billboard phased array antenna system used for over-the-horizon telemetry. Landing in a strong crosswind could be interesting. The aircraft is from VX-30 Sqn "Bloodhounds" based at NAS Point Mubo, California. It made several circuits over the city and then was gone.

This Orion was originally retired to MASDC as 2P0012 in July, 1984. It was then returned to service with VX-30 'Bloodhounds' at Point Mugu, CA but was returned to AMARC in April, 2011.

This unusual Orion arrived at AMARG during April 06 and has been stored on 'Celebrity Row' with the PCN/Inventory No. AN2P0243.

This P-3 is a relatively recent arrival at AMARG after being retired during Oct. 08 and she is now stored with the PCN/Inventory No. AN2P0249.

This P-3 served with VXS-1 before being retired to AMARG during Jan. 2013.

This VX-30 'Bloodhounds' P-3 flew out of Point Mugu, CA providing support for the Navy' Sea Test Range off the Californian coast. She has been retired to AMARG relatively recently, arriving in Oct. 2012.

Formerly served with the Naval Research Laboratory as a weather reconnaissance aircraft and has been strored at AMARG since Sept. 05 with the PCN/Inventory No. AN2P0240.
