Ex EC-XKV, built in Spain with c/n 056. Restored in 2012 with new c/n '12017-2629'. In Dutch register as per January 2020 and officially restored to c/n 56.

The MBB-SIAT 223 Flamingo is a three-seater training and sport plane with aerobatic capabilities. Only a small number of the total of 97 Flamingos produced were built in West Germany. In the early 1970s, manufacturing was moved to the CASA plant where 50 were built and another 17 planes were produced under licence by Farner in Switzerland. This is the only exxample produced of the final version, built in 1986, and is now on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim.

Early 1970s Hispano aircraft built 9 Flamingos for evaluation for the Spanish Air Force as training or liasion aircraft. After the evaluation it was decided not to purchase the aircraft and they were taken up in the Spanish civil register. This is one of these aircraft.

First flown in 1967, the Flamingo was designed by SIAT, formerly Siebel, which was absorbed by MBB in 1970. This Spanish-built aircraft used to be EC-52A.

Built in 1969 and test flown as D-EABU. 15 Flamingos were delivered to the Turkish Aeronautical Association, Türk Hava Kurumu, in that year.
