Nice early-morning light on "City of London", coming in to land on 18R. This 25 year old Fokker started out in 1989 as PH-LBT, a Fokker demonstrator in SAS colours. In 1990 it was delivered to DLT as D-AFKI. Two years later it went to Lufthansa CityLine, until sold to Air Nostrum in 1995 as EC-869 / EC-GBH. VLM acquired it in 2001 as OO-VLQ, and in 2009 they leased it out to CityJet, as seen here. It returned to VLM in 2015.

Recent German technology towing wonderful old German technology... This Junkers is no less than 75 years old, and still going strong when this photo was taken. Following a long life in Europe and then the Americas, it came back to Europe from the USA in 1984, and was completely rebuilt to original condition. It made its first post-restoration flight on 1 April 1986, and so far many enjoyable pleasure flights have followed in the 30+ years that have passed since then. Unfortunately Lufthansa withdrew their support a year later, and this magnificent aircraft was withdrawn from use in August 2018.

Very brief and uninteresting history for this one. Delivered to Aeroflot in 2009, then to Rossiya in 2016. Carried VQ-BCO its entire operational life.

Early evening shot in low light. Delivered new to Icelandair in 1989 as TF-FIA, and sold to short-lived Brussels International as OO-RMV in 2000. To Sobelair in 2001, then to Futura as EC-IVR in 2004. Leased to Merpati as PK-MDM in Nov 2007, returned to Futura Jul 2008. To Hola Airlines in 2009 as EC-LAV, and acquired by AlbaStar in 2010 and named "Pino D'Urso", after the airline's founder. Briefly became 9H-CES in Jan 2018, then to AlbaWings that same month as ZA-AWB.

Originally delivered to Air Europe in May 1988, as G-BOHC. Leased to Air Europa as EC-202 / EC-ELA in Winter 1988/89, and again in Winter 1989/1990 as EC-516 / EC-ELA. Wfu in 1991 and acquired by Caledonian Airways in 1992 as G-BEPF. To British Airways in late 1995, who sold it Sun d'Or in 2003. In 2007 it was acquired by FedEx Express as N915FD, and converted to freighter.

Ex Air Engiadina HB-AEH, and was operated in KLM Alps colours from 1999 until sold to Air Alps in Oct 2001. They sold it to Platinum Skies in 2015, where it became RP-C9258.

Delivered to JAT in 1986, when it was still Yugoslav Airlines. It went to Bosphorus Airways as TC-MIO in 1992, before returning to JAT in 2001. The company changed its name to Jat Airways in 2003, and in 2013 the airline became Air Serbia. They sold the aircraft to Aviolet in 2014, still as YU-ANJ.

Delivered to SAS in 1990, as LN-RCD, and sold to Air Holland in Oct 2003. Following that airline's demise it was transferred to HollandExel in Mar 2004, which became ArkeFly in 2005. The aircraft was permanently withdrawn from use in 2014 and stored at Roswell, NM.

Evening shot in low light. This aircraft was delivered new to Ontario Express in Canadian Partner colours in 1988. It later also operated in Inter-Canadian and Canadian Regional colours, before being sold in 2001 and becoming F-WQOD, then F-WQNB. Converted to freighter in 2002 and sold to Solenta Aviation as ZS-OVR, for operation on behalf of DHL. Withdrawn from use in 2015 and stored here at Mönchengladbach.

Delivered to Simmons Airlines / American Eagle in 1998, and sold to Air KBZ in 2012 as XY-AJC. Withdrawn from use in 2017 and reportedly destined for Starbow Airlines as 9G-SBG in 2018. Apologies for the unfavourable angle and the partially blocking aircraft in front.

Delivered to Air Littoral as F-GPYI in 1996. Sold to EuroLOT in 2002 as SP-EDC, then to SATENA as HK-4747 in 2010. Withdrawn from use in 2016, and ended up in storage at Mönchengladbach. Reportedly destined for Rheinland Air Service in 2018.

A brief history for this one, having been delivered new to Jet Time as recently as 2014, and operated for SAS. It arrived here at Mönchengladbach one day before this photo was taken, and departed a month later on delivery to Nordica as ES-ATD, reportedly to be again operated on behalf of SAS.
