Ex - US Navy BuNo 149072. Photographed displayed outside the RAAF HQ Townsville. This aircraft was damaged during Cyclone Yasi in February 2012, and subsequently donated parts to sister-ship A89-280 which also suffered damage during that event. In February 2016 the RAAF announced that this aircraft had been gifted to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society and in August/September 2017, after it had been dismantled, it was trucked to that organisation's premises at Parkes, NSW, where it was reassembled and put on display.
