Built in 1964 for Japan's All Nippon Airways, this Friendship was acquired by Icelandair in 1972 and flew with the company for 20 years. After a further year of cargo services in Peru as OB-1484 the aircraft was stored at Mena, AR and eventually broken up there in 1998.

Mostly used on internal flights in Iceland, but the Fokkers did also fly an Icelandair scheduled route to Glasgow from Vagar, Faroe Islands.

Later to Aircraft Financing & Trading BV as PH-FFF and thereafter with WDL as D-BAKG for use as a source for spare parts. Reported as broken up Essen (Germany) Apr 97.

Later to Aircraft Financing & Trading BV as PH-FEY and thereafter with WDL as D-BAKH. Seen Essen (Germany) Aug 2004 still in basic Icelandair cols with both reg PH-FEY and D-BAKH showing. Reported as broken up not long after.

It was operating for Austrian Airlines but it would seem (looking at Alastair T. Gardiner's photo taken 2 days previously) that the Austrian titles were only on the port side of the aircraft (i.e. the passenger entry side).
