Delivered to SAFE in May 1951, operating a frequent freight service across the Cook Strait between North and South Islands. Seen here with an additional "N.Z.R. Rail - Air" badge on the fuselage, for flights operated by SAFE Air on behalf of New Zealand Railways. Aircraft crashed at Blenheim on 3 February 1954 and returned to UK by sea for rebuilding without cabin windows. Withdrawn in 1967 after 16,703 hours. Its fuselage was used to build a 'new' ZK-CWF.

Manufactured 18th Sept. 1954 delivered in 54 RPAF. Registered to Safe Air ZK-CRM 9th Aug. 1966. Named "Merchant Herald". Registration was cancelled 5th Jul, 1984.

Ex Pakistan Air Force S4402. Served Straits Air Freight Express from September 1961 until retirement.

Delivered new to Iberia as EC-AHI in May 1953. Bought by Straits Air Freight Express SAFE in May 1966 and named "Merchant Courier". Retired in October 1987 and preserved.

Just over the road from the RNZAF base at Woodbourne, this immaculately displayed machine is preserved by The Argosy Trust outside a cafe, recalling the period when it often operated from the airfield. Originally G-ASXN with BEA, it later went to Transair in Canada and then to NZ in 1974. A careful study of Google Earth back home had established that I'd get the best sun angle in the morning, but it was cloudy then. Note plastic owl bird scarer on the wing!
