This former RAF aircraft is one of twenty-nine C-130's stored by Lockheed-Martin at Georgetown, Delaware. Seven of the group are ex RAAF while the remainder are ex RAF. While some, or all of the RAAF C-130's may have escaped the scrapman, all of the RAF aircraft were scrapped.

Twenty-nine ex RAF and RAAF C-130's are stored by Lockheed Martin on an abandoned runway at GED. These aircraft were traded in for newer model C-130J's. Most, if not all, of the RAF C-130's were scrapped and I believe that most of the RAAF aircraft departed to new owners. Note the slot running down the middle of the runway. It was part of a catapult system used to test escape system components in the 1960's.
