The first electric powered Diamond DA40

Registered as N6038A in 1956 then OE-DBM in 1957.

In Jan. 1945 Wiener-Neustadt was one of 39 sites producing Bf-109s and was bombed 28 times during WWII. In the same month, Uffz. Herbert Maxis was flying 784993 in IV/JG53 as part of Operation Bodenplatte when he attacked an American convoy near Ober-Felsberg in the Saarland but was shot-down by ground fire. Maxis belly landed the plane successfully but was shot by an American soldier as he exited the plane. The wreck was later buried but re-discovered in 1987 and used, along with from parts of many different authentic 109s, for the restoration of 784993, which is now on display at Aviaticum.

The AVIA FL.3 (post-WWII known as the Lombardi FL.3) was an Italian two-seat cabin monoplane that first flew in 1939 In 1953 Meteor SpA acquired the rights for the FL.3 and with some re-design produced eight examples as the Meteor FL.53. This was followed by ten examples of a three-seat version the FL.54 with smaller number of later variants also produced. This FL.54 is now on display at Aviaticum.

This Czech-built Demoiselle aluminium replica was first flown at Brno Medlánky (LKCM) in December 1992 and is now part of the Aviaticum collection at LOAN.

OE-VDK is a Diamond test registration and has been applied to many different aircraft as they pass through the company facility at LOAN. The European Flight Academy is the flight school for the Lufthansa Group.

This DA50C is parked outside the Diamond facility at LOAN. Note that OE-VPT is a Daimond test registration and has been carried by many different aircraft.

This SG38 was built in 1958 and was on the Austrian register until February 1970. It is now part of this very interesting museum at LOAN.

The original Pischof Autoplan made its maiden flight in March 1910 from Wiener Neustadt (presumably at the older airfield, West (LOXN)) and flew for 400 m. This airworthy replica was built in 2002 and is on display at this super museum.

This very small plane made its maiden flight in 1985 still holds 3 world records. It is on display at this very inyeresting museum.
