The RMAF Museum has a Pioneer and a Twin Pioneer. Another Malaysian Twin Pin is preserved in Malacca Town.

Very difficult to shoot on KR64 in a dark corner of the RMAF Museum's hangar, the only decent angle I could find required a bit of mountaineering on the girders supporting the roof. This Dove, one of five, entered RMAF service in 9.61 with the Comms Flight, being used for multi-engine training from the early 70s but phased out in 1975 when replaced by the Cessna 402. A visit to this excellent collection is highly recommended for anyone in KL

Poor Alouette, left to rot on an uninhabited island - in the RMAF Museum, that is.

Not one of the original three RMAF Herons, this museum exhibit was acquired from the Sri Lanka air force.

Plagued by maintenance problems, old US Navy A-4s served in the Malaysian air force (TUDM) for only a couple of years.

This Cessna served in the Malaysian air force from 1961 to 1975, when it became 9M-ANL. It was donated to the RMAF Museum in 1988 and restored to its original colours.

The Caribou is a very cool aircraft.

Not many Pioneers were built, and only two of these planes still exist.

Ex RCAF and Chile, one of two acquired by the RMAF as recently as the mid eighties, but only operated for three years due to poor reliability. This example is now displayed in a white scheme. The other is also preserved in Malaysia
