After military service, this Albatros initially went to South Africa where it was registered in the experimental block as ZU-BZA in October 1999. In 2002 it came to Australia, initially being based in Perth, and was re-registered VH-LQT on 2 August that year. Early the following year, on 2 January 2003, it was re-registered VH-HOT. This lasted until 12 June 2007 when it was re-registered again as VH-IOT. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

This aircraft was ordered in 1951 by the USAF, one of more than two thousand Texans rebuilt from earlier AT-6 and SNJ models. It was allocated a new cn and the serial 51-15202. It found its way to the Italian AF as MM53652, and was retired in 1979. In 1981 bought and shipped to the UK and stored until 1986 when shipped to Australia. Registration VH-ITN was reserved whilst a restoration project, but it was registered VH-YVI on 2 February 2001. It's first post-restoration flight was not until early 2011.

Joining the circuit overhead on an early morning jolly in Cessna 190 VH-AAL during the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in. On the ground the eagle-eyed will spot a Hudson, Mustang, Kittyhawk, Yak 9 and DH89 Dragon Rapide, among many others.

Delivered new in 09.88 to Chautauqua Airlines as N128CH. In 2011 operating with the small Caribair based in the Dominican Republic.
