This venerable Cherokee was registered new in Australia on 6 September 1967. It belongs to my good friends Ian and Jenny, and lives on a farm strip at Longwood. A recent repaint and it looks as good as new! Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

One of the last Pacers built, this 1954 aircraft was initially US registered as N8133C. Then to Dutch New Guinea (now Irian Jaya), probably new, as JZ-PTB for Missionary Aviation Fellowship. Exported to Australia in 1959 and re-registered as VH-AMA(3) for Aerial Missions of Australia, but sold on to a fish-spotting concern at Merimbula who put it on floats. 'Retired' in April 1965: rebuilt and re-registered as VH-TPH, still on floats. Returned to wheels in the '70s and currently based at Deniliquin.

This shot clearly shows the square wingtips of the 'B' model Hornet Moth. This lovely aircraft was added to the UK Register pre-war as G-AEZG but was impressed into the RAF during the war as BK830. A survivor, it resumed its identity as G-AEZG until being exported to Australia where it became VH-UXY(2) on 27 July 1979.

The airstrip at Coleambally is about 5NM south of the town and appears to be privately owned. It's the base for Mas Ag Work and you can see a Cessna AGtruck sitting outside the hangar. This shot looks south-west.

This 1979 Skylane was registered new in Australia as VH-UZK(2) on 5 June that year. It's been repainted in a new scheme with Club titles since I last photographed it at Bundaberg in August 2007. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

One of three ex-bmi baby 737s awaiting delivery to this Krasnodar-based airline as VQ-BHC. Their Yak 42s would surely have looked good in this eye-catching scheme
