This TBM 700 is based on a station near Cloncurry, Qld. It was registered new to EADS/SOCATA in December 2005 as F-OIKD. A few weeks later it was allocated the US registration N794CA, but this was not taken up and the aircraft was exported to Australia for MDH, becoming VH-CZM(3) on 2 February 2006. In the good old days, VH-CZM was in one of the 'Ansett blocks' of registrations.

Unusual visitor to Brisbane from Anchorage, Alaska. This aircraft seems to have been built in 1976 for Schreiner Airways in the Netherlands and registered PH-RMH. It was later operated by Irish company Air Contractors, re-registered in South Africa as ZS-JVL. In 1998 Air Contractors was partially taken-over by South African operator Safair, a well-known Hercules operator, and this aircraft was operated by Safair on behalf of the UN. In February 2005 it was acquired by Lynden Air Cargo.

This Metro was built for Kendell Airlines in 1993, but initially registered to Fairchild as N3021U for the ferry to Australia. It arrived at Kendell's Wagga base on 22 Aug and was re-registered VH-KAN on the 26th. After Kendell was sold, the aircraft was re-registered to Regional Express (Rex) on 2 Sept 2002. In 2006 Rex announced that they were planning to retire all their Metros from passenger service, and VH-KAN was subsequently re-registered to Rex subsidiary Pel-Air on 22 Dec that year.
